Prof. Jinwoo Cheon is professor at Department of Chemistry, Yonsei University. He was named one of “the World’s Most influential Scientific Minds” of 2014" by Thomson Reuters.

 He joined Yonsei University as a faculty member in 2002. Before joining Yonsei Univ, he taught at KAIST as an associate professor from 1998 to 2002.

 He served as a senior editor of Accounts of Chemical Research (ACS) from 2009 and a member of Editorial Advisory Board of Nano Letters (ACS) from 2010.

 He graduated department of Chemistry, Yonsei University,  and got his Ph. D. degree from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, U. S. A. in 1993.

 He received  many honors and awards including HoAm Prize in 2015, POSCO ChungAm Prize in 2012 and Song-Gok Science Prize in 2007.
