Prof. Jong Wha Pyun (1930 -1993)

Prof. Jong Wha Pyun was a professor at Department of Chemistry, University of Massachusetts, Lowel from 1970 and became professor Emeritus in 1995.
He graduated department of Chemistry, Seoul National University (SNU) in 1955 and got a Ph. D. from Brown University in 1963.
He was a Member of Editorial Board, Journal of Macromolecular Science-Chemistry between 1971 to 1979. He served as a 3rd president of Association of Korean Scientis and Engineers in 1976.
He visited as a visiting professor at Department of Chemicstry, SNU in 1977 and POSTECH in 1986.
He received a Presidential Award when he graduated SNU in 1955. He received an Order of Civil Merit (Dongbaek-Jang) from S. Korea in 1978 and a honoray Seoul Citizenship in 1995 at the invitation to the Celemony of 50th Independence sponsored by Seoul Metropolitan Government in 1995.
