Prof. Mu Shik Jhon (1932-2004) is  well known for his ‘Significant Liquid Structure Theory (SST). He was a pioneer to find out the structure of water.

  Prof. John was born in Daegu, Korea in 1932. He graduated Seoul National University in 1954 and got a Ph. D. degree from Utah Univ., U. S. A. in 1966. He was an assistant professor at Virginia Univ. (1966-1969) and an associate professor at Utah University (1971-1972) and joined KAIST in 1971.
