Prof. Tae Young Lee

 


 

 Prof. Tae Young Lee joined as a faculty member in 1956 and retired in 1989. He graduated Department of Chemistry, Seoul National University (SNU) in May 1950 and got a Ph. D. degree in 1963 from SNU.

 

 Prof. Lee served as the 1st and 2nd president of Korean Society of Conservation Science for Cultural Heritage from 1991 to 1996.

 

 He received a Order of Military Merit in 1953,  a Sukryu-Jang, Order of Civil Merit in 1983, a Dongbaek-Jang, Order of Civil Merit in 1989. and an Academy Award from National Academy of Sciences, Korea in 1990.

 

 He is the eldest son of Dr. Byungdo Lee, a historian and professor of Department of History, SNU.
