Dr. Sea-wha Oh

 


 

  Dr. Sea-wha Oh was the first woman researcher at KRICT and organized Association of Korean Woman Scientists and Engineers (KWSE) and served 1st and 2nd President of KWSE between 1993-1999.

 

 Dr. Oh graduated Department of Chemistry, Seoul National Univ. in 1965 and got her Ph. D. degree from Univ. of Minnesota in 1971.

 

 Dr. Sea-wha Oh joined as a faculty member of Kyunghee Univ. in 1977 and left for Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT). She set up there Center for Dye and and Finishing and served as a director.

 

 Dr. Oh served as a member at many Governmental and non-governmental organizations:

 Committee of Presidential Policy planning (1994-1997), Committee on Environmental Technology and Korea Industrial standards Commission (1999-2000). Dr. Oh served as a president of The Korean Society of Dyers and Finishers from 2002-2003.

 

 Dr. Oh received many awards incluidng This Year Woman Scientist Award (2002), Bulri Award of Bichumi Woman Awards (2002).
