Prof. Chongsuh Pyun joined as a faculty member of Sogang Univ. in 1974. He served as a dean of College of Natural Science and Engineering during 1991-1993 and Vice President during 1997-1999. He retired inand became a professor emeritus in 2001. His research interests are benzyme chemistry, electric syntheses.

 He served as a member of the Committee of Chemical Terminology, Korean Chemical Society during 1976-1982 and as a chair in 1983.

He was born in Seoul, Korea  in January 29, 1936. He graduated Department of Chemistry, Seoul National University in 1959 and got his Ph. D. degree from Brown Univ. in 1972.
