Prof. Taikyue Ree (1902-1992)

 


 

  Prof. Taikyue Ree (1902-1992) was the first Korean chemist who got a doctoral degree from Kyoto Univ. in 1931 and served as a faculty member later at the same university.

 He became the first dean of the college of Liberal Art and Science, SNU and 1st President of Korean Chemical Society (KCS). He visited Utah University before Korean War and worked with Prof. Henry Eyring (1901-1981). He developed Ree-Eyring fluid model for flow. He influenced and inspired many Korean chemists and young students. He also assisted many Korean chemists’ research works at Utah.
